We can’t stand by while our kids are put in danger.\n\n### **NEW POLL:**\n\n#### Americans From All Backgrounds Support Childhood Vaccines\n\n[See poll results](/s/UCH_Polling_January2026.pdf) \n\n* * *\n\n**74%**\n=======\n\nLikely voters support routine childhood vaccines, with majority support across party lines.\n\n**90%** \n========\n\nAmericans agree childhood vaccines should be available to all families, regardless of income.\n\n**72%**\n=======\n\nVoters are more likely to support candidates who back current vaccine policies.\n\n* * *\n\nThe Problem\n-----------\n\n#### Right now, some in Washington are putting vaccine availability at risk for many American families.\n\nThey’re ignoring the science that protects our kids and making drastic changes to childhood vaccine policies — going after the immunization schedule that has a proven record of keeping our kids safe.\n\nWe know that childhood vaccines work. From 1994-2023, the [**CDC**](https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/73/wr/mm7331a2.htm) found that childhood immunizations prevented 508 million cases of illness, 38 million hospitalizations, and 1.1 million deaths. Destroying the schedule puts all that progress — and the health of our kids — at risk.\n\nDespite that, some Washington politicians are actively working to take away parents’ ability to immunize their children and protect them against life-threatening diseases.\n\nThese decisions go against the will of voters. 72% of likely voters are more likely to vote for a candidate who supports keeping America’s current policies in support of routine childhood vaccines.\n\nOfficials in Washington have already fired the independent scientists on the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) — the group that determines which vaccines are recommended for children — and replaced them with anti-immunization activists.\n\n![](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/68a3654c7df7950713b9f175/3361ae6d-aa01-476f-b4cc-639446ee103f/us-capitol-closeup-washington-dc.jpg)\n\nIf Washington politicians get their way…\n----------------------------------------\n\n* #### Our Kids Lives Will Be At Risk\n \n Every child deserves a healthy, happy life — and Americans agree with the science that vaccines are an effective way to keep kids safe.\n \n * At the height of the measles outbreak, an [**estimated 3 to 4 million Americans**](https://www.cdc.gov/measles/about/history.html) were infected annually. Thanks to the introduction of a measles vaccine, the number of reported cases dropped drastically and the disease was declared eliminated nationally by 2000. Over the last year, measles has seen a resurgence due to an inaccurate anti-immunization agenda that puts kids at risk and led to deaths in 2025. \n \n * In the 1950s, polio outbreaks in the U.S. caused [**more than 15,000 cases of paralysis**](https://www.nfid.org/infectious-disease/polio/) annually. Following the introduction of the polio vaccine, the number of reported cases fell to fewer than 10 by the 1970s.\n \n * At the height of the last U.S. rubella epidemic from 1964-65, [**12.5 million Americans**](https://www.cdc.gov/rubella/vaccine-impact/index.html) contracted rubella. Today, fewer than 10 people in the U.S. are reported as having rubella annually.\n \n \n Changes to weaken the childhood immunization schedule would mean significantly greater risk to all our kids as they become exposed to even more diseases that threaten their health.\n \n* #### Costs Will Rise for Families\n \n Making vaccines available regardless of a family’s economic situation saves lives and protects our communities. But now, some in Washington are trying to change that – making them unaffordable and inaccessible for American families.\n \n 86% of likely voters are very (51%) or somewhat (35%) concerned that changes in childhood vaccination policies would lead to insurance companies ending coverage of these vaccines and shifting this cost onto parents.\n \n Vaccines save lives, they should be available for all children, regardless of income or zip code.\n \n\nTake action to protect childhood vaccines.\n------------------------------------------\n\nSome in Washington are putting our children’s health at risk — dismantling programs that have kept them safe from diseases like polio, measles, and whooping cough for generations.\n\n**We’re uniting to fight back. Send a letter to your lawmakers demanding action to protect childhood vaccines.**\n\nDear \\[Lawmaker\\],\n\nAs your constituent, I'm writing to urge you to protect access to childhood vaccines.

For generations, vaccines have protected children from serious diseases like polio, measles, and whooping cough. They've saved millions of lives. Now, some in Washington are working to dismantle these protections, making vaccines harder to access and afford.

If they succeed, routine vaccines could become unaffordable for many American families — putting kids at risk of contracting life-threatening illnesses.

Parents deserve to be able to protect their children, regardless of their economic situation. These efforts would take that away.
